MEASUREMENT BUOY – MONSUL PROJECT – SULEJOW RESERVOIR

LODZ UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY - PROJECT ANALYSIS

The system provided by Technika IT SA consists of two dataloggers.
E-HydroLOG datalogger is located on the measurement buoy and is used without dismantling it throughout the whole season - this ensures tightness of the housing - IP68.
The recorder is connected permanently to photovoltaic panels and meteorological sensors. Multi-parameter measuring probe EXO which measures physicochemical parameters is disassembled every 2 weeks to carry out 3D measurements of the reservoir (bathymetry) using the second data logger:
The Datataker DT82E is housed in a sealed mobile enclosure (case) with a power supply and a GPS receiver. It is configured for continuous measurements - it allows to work with the EXO probe continuously. In the 2015 season, the device gathered 104’000 measurement series, which significantly improved the research process

Customer: Lodz University of Technology

Location: Sulejow reservoir (Smardzirwice)

Design: Physiochemical parameters water measuring system of Sulejow reservoir – Monsul Project.

Equipment:

1 datalogger e-HydroLOG on measurement buoy

1 datalogger Datataker DT82E in a carrying case (mobile system)

Works

  • Parameters registration on the measurement buoy in 24/7 mode.
  • Data registration in “mobile” mode with the highest possible frequency.
  • Uninterrupted data access through the Hydrowskaz.pl platform.

Summary

  • Total success of e-HydroLOG in extreme high humidity conditions (half a meter above the water though the whole season)
  • Total success of DataTaker DT82E – collection of 104 thousands measurement series.
  • Access to actual and historical data through the Hydrowskaz.pl platform.
  • Creation of 2D & 3D maps of Sulejow reservoir along with measurement routs
  • Obtaining variety of interesting data, based on chlorophyll level – due to the drought in 2015.
